In Part 16 of my walk following the Staffordshire Way. I walk from the village of Alton and continue to the small car park for Hawksmoor nature reserve (Woods) using the Staffordshire Way, In this video I continue from Hawksmoor to make a circular walk back to Alton via the Churnet Valley Railway Walk. We begin by backtracking along the Staffordshire Way to Stoney Dale, where the Staffs Way heads right on the lane we turn left and follow this quiet country road to the village of Oakamoor, passing the Churnet Valley Railway along the way, a quick look around Oakamoor and we backtrack to the railway walk, picking it up at the former Oakamoor platforms. We continue along the old line to Alton, where we leave for the village. Finishing at Alton Castle ready for the return walk along the Staffordshire Way
