The Walton-Verona Middle and High Schools Library, Information, and Technology Center’s vision is to become a world-class library, information, and technology center that balances tradition with innovation.
Mission
The Walton-Verona Middle and High Schools Library, Information, and Technology Center’s mission is to prepare our students for life by providing them with challenging learning experiences that empower students to build literacy skills, become critical producers and consumers of information, and use technology to find creative solutions to problems.
The Walton-Verona Library serves both the middle and high school communities. This means providing resources to over 1,000 students in grades 5-12 every year so that they are empowered to learn at high levels.
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:25 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
The library will NOT be open the following dates:
September 2: Labor Day
October 14 - 18: Fall Break
November 5: Election Day
November 27 - 29: Professional Development and Thanksgiving
December 23 - January 7: Winter Break and Teacher Planning Days
January 20: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
February 17: Presidents' Day (Professional Development)
March 28: Professional Development
April 7 - 11: Spring Break
May 26: Memorial Day
With 21 years in education and 19 years as a classroom English teacher, Mr. Pollock is committed to helping you achieve your literacy goals, navigate the research process, access and evaluate information, and find innovative ways to use technology.
Mrs. Raniero has 11 years of experience working in the school system. This is her third year at Walton-Verona Independent Schools, and her current position is assisting the librarian. Her mission is to help every student find a book that they will enjoy reading.
