Manto is a senior technical advisor at one of the UK regulators. Prior to that, she worked in the banking, professional services, and telecom industries for 12 years in third- and second-line cyber and resilience risk management, compliance, and assurance roles. Manto also supports various universities’ mentoring activities across the UK and extensively supports initiatives across the industry focused on women in technology and cyber security.

Nur Afny Catur Andryani is a faculty member at BINUS University, Indonesia, and currently a visiting scholar at KU Leuven, Belgium. She serves as Chair of IEEE Women in Engineering Indonesia, where she advocates for women's empowerment and advancement in engineering and technology. Her research focuses on the application of AI in healthcare and imaging science, particularly in developing diagnostic tools to improve healthcare delivery. She promotes interdisciplinary collaboration across engineering, medicine, and technology to drive innovation in healthcare systems. Alongside her expertise in AI and healthcare, she is also interested in AI governance and ethical AI, especially within educational contexts.

Speaker Bio:

Maria holds a BSc in Physics Engineering from IST, Portugal, and a PhD in Imaging Neuroscience from University College London (UCL), UK. Following her PhD, she spent five years as a researcher in Machine Learning for Neuroimaging at UCL and King’s College London, focusing on developing innovative methods for diagnosing psychiatric disorders using MRI data and machine learning.

Before joining Anglia Ruskin University, Maria worked in industry as a customer-facing Deep Learning Engineer at MathWorks, where she supported customers with MATLAB workflows for deep learning applications and contributed to the development of software for MATLAB’s Deep Learning Toolbox.
