Instructions:
Revision is essential to the writing process, and we have practiced it throughout the semester. In this assignment, we will consider revision from a different perspective! You will choose one of your following assignments to turn into a podcast episode: Position, Review, or Proposal.
1) Reread the feedback from your Position, Review, or Proposal Assignments (in Google Classroom).
2) Revise the piece substantially with the following guidelines:
Apply feedback from previous draft. This should demonstrate that you have read and considered all of the feedback, but especially those major issues identified in the rubric comments (not just the grammar).
Rewrite your draft into a script for a podcast episode. Consider the change in audience and medium and how this may change your style of writing.
Turn in your script on Google Classroom.
3) Record your podcast.
There will be two ways you can complete your episode's Recording:
If you are familiar with how to produce high-quality recordings, you may be allowed to complete your Recording on your own. You will need to speak to Dr. T before making this decision. OR
We will have access to a recording program, and there will be time in the last couple of weeks of classes to do your Recordings.Â
Will be turned in the best way possible, depending on method of Recording.
Notes:
If you simply read and record your original piece of writing or a draft very close to it, your episode will receive no more than 25 points of credit.
