Q&A: Writing

Q1: How to improve grammar?
A: Read a lot of chapter books and pay attention to how the sentences are formatted, what words pop out to you, and memorize how they’re spelled. If a word’s too complicated, find simpler synonyms to learn.
Q2: How can I improve my spelling?
A: Try to sound out new words. Often times, sounding out a word will accurately break down a word, making it easier for you to spell. Improving your spelling can also correlate to increasing your vocabulary, as the more words you learn how to spell and know the meaning of, the more your vocabulary will expand.
Q3: Do writing materials impact my writing?
A: Nope, its all personal preference, whether you may like to write on a paper or type on a computer, it’s all up to your preferences. I recommend doing what brings you the most comfort. Practice with pens, pencils, maybe variations of the two, see what works best. In writing, sticking to your true self is always welcomed.
Q4: How can I write a good biography?
A: Make a plan ahead of time before writing, once that’s done, you can make events flow into one another, like a string/web. Give emphasis to the smaller details while keeping the importance of the major events. If something is irrelevant, then don’t include it, or just barely cover it.
Q5: How can I make stories better?
A: Make sure you can capture the reader’s attention, usually the first sentence or paragraph can do that very well if you know what to type. Make likeable or hateable characters, your goal on making a character should be focused on one of those two things. If it’s a really bad villain that isn’t a good person, then do your best to make sure your readers also don’t like that character. Immerse the readers in the world’s story, be descriptive enough to give off a sense of imagery to your readers, and don’t make characters too similar to one another.
