Panhellenic sororities at WPI participate in primary recruitment at the beginning of B Term.

By going through sorority recruitment, you have the opportunity to meet new people, see what sororities on our campus are like, and figure out if joining a chapter is something that interests you!

All chapters at WPI host events related to philanthropic missions, community service, sisterhood events, professional development, social activities, networking opportunities through alumni and beyond, and scholarship and academic events.

Sororities enhance the lives of many WPI students, how could joining a sorority enhance yours?

It is strongly encouraged that you attend Get More Insight into Recruitment on Tuesday, October 3rd from 6 PM - 7 PM in IS 105, if you plan to participate in primary recruitment.

A Letter from the Vice President Recruitment

Sororities have been a part of WPI tradition since 1977 and our community is growing steadily year after year. Being in a sorority provides many leadership and networking opportunities that will help you grow throughout your college career. Our community focuses on making women better women through member development, philanthropy events, community service projects, scholarship, and much more. Sororities provide the WPI women with a support network both within their chapter and within the Greek community as a whole. Greek life is so diverse that it has something to offer everyone.

A lot of the women that are currently in sororities at WPI did not intend to join when they first came to campus, while others knew that they wanted to be involved in Greek life from the very beginning. Participating in recruitment is a great way to find out what Greek life on our campus is really like and whether or not it is for you. You’ll never know if you don’t try it! Going through recruitment is also a great way to meet other women on campus as well as practice your interview skills.

There are five National Panhellenic Conference sororities at WPI -- Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Phi, Alpha Xi Delta, Chi Omega, and Phi Sigma Sigma -- and 2 multicultural sororities, Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority, Inc and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Each sorority is unique, yet each one provides support and resources for personal growth. With the support and motivation of your sisters, you will discover a place where you can become a woman of strength, character, and personal achievement. I encourage you to give recruitment a try, exploring each of the sororities at WPI, to discover if Greek life is a good fit for you!
