Grading

Message Board Participation:

For each learning module you will need to participate in the corresponding message board discussion. Our module discussions can be located in the 'Discussion' section of Canvas. Please find the grading rubric attached in the 'Discussion' section to better understand the grading process. I actively monitor the discussion boards and oftentimes offer my own two cents on a topic.

Assignments:

You will have several individual and group assignments to complete over the course of the semester. These assignments will be submitted on our Canvas course site. Grades with comments will be posted electronically within two weeks of the due date.

Quizzes:

At the conclusion of most reading and video lectures you will have a short 'flash quiz' to ensure you absorbed the material. These quizzes may be taken only once and you will have one minute to answer each question. I suggest you review the reading or video lecture prior to taking the quiz. You will not have time to search through the material. Quizzes must be taken by the due date. No late quizzes will be accepted.

Exams:

There will be two exams taken over the course of the semester. Like the quizzes, they will be taken on Canvas, have a time limit, may not be repeated, and may not be taken late.

Grading Scale

   90 – 100 percent A

   80 – 90 percent B

   70 – 79 percent C

   60 – 69 percent D

   59 percent and below F
