Everybody loves a wedding! The outfits, the cake, the first dance but make your ceremony the highlight of your day.
I will write a bespoke and personal ceremony for you like no other wedding you have ever attended - and that's because it will be about you both as a couple and your story.
In England, there are two ways to legally marry - in a church or with a local authority registrar (who may marry couples in a registry office or licensed venue). A celebrant wedding is not currently legal but this may change after the Wedding Reform Act is passed in Parliament.
So why have a celebrant wedding? The idea of a unique and personal ceremony is what brings couples to celebrants. A couple needs to have a registry office ceremony either before or after a celebrant ceremony (there is no time limit on this). This is often known as a "You and Two" where the couple and 2 witnesses attend (it's rather nice to take both mums). The celebrant ceremony can be held at a venue or place of choice and can include a fusion of your cultures and heritage and elements such as unity rituals.
Unity rituals are steeped in traditions and symbolism. They can include jumping the broomstick, handfasting ("tying the knot"), sand blending, candles, love letters and wine box ritual, and my personal favourite - ring warming.
You can even involve your dog - I am very dog friendly!
I'm a true romantic. I believe in love. Rom-coms are my favourite movie genre (but please don't tell anyone!) I would have so much pleasure writing your wedding ceremony and we would have so much fun creating it.
