About Me

I am Mrs. Worden, a physical education teacher at General Brown. I teach out of the Brownville-Glen Park and Dexter buildings. The 2023-2024 school year will be my second year at General Brown and third year of teaching. I am so fortunate to be teaching at GB! I graduated from SUNY Cortland in May of 2020 earning a degree in Bachelor of Science in Education, majoring in physical education. I am also in the process of completing my master's degree in health education through SUNY Cortland.

Some background information about me... I was a lion myself until I was in 10th grade when my family moved to Chaumont and I finished my high school experience at Lyme Central. I was very involved in sports growing up, I played basketball and softball year round for a majority of my life. I stopped playing when it became time for college simply because I wanted to focus on my course work.

I LOVE watching high school and college basketball and softball. I love coaching basketball, softball and soccer too! Some things I enjoy doing outside of school are spending lots of time with my family and friends, riding our motorcycle, practicing my new hobby- bowling and one of my favorite things is admiring sunsets and capturing pictures of them- my collection is getting pretty large! I have two golden doodles that I absolutely adore- their names are Jojo (named after one of my favorite people ever- Joanna Gaines) and Izzy.

I look forward to my second year teaching and coaching at GB and plan to make it as enjoyable for students as it is for me!

Best,

Mrs. Worden
