This Community Resource Library aims to assist individuals and families in finding the necessary equipment, resources, and support essential for promoting independent living, safety, and health. Throughout my career as an occupational therapist, employment coach, and case manager, I have assembled lists of programs, agencies, and organizations equipped for helping individuals with disabilities achieve independence. The goal of this project is not only to inform others of the resources available but also to provide the readership with the nuance associated with many of these programs that only social workers or case managers may be familiar with. Topics include:
- Durable Medical Equipment
-Assistive Technology
-Mobility Equipment
- Housing
- Adult Services
- Mental Health Services
- Transportation Assistance
- Departmental Navigation (DDS, DMH, DPH, MCB, etc.).
