Kove Studios ("Kove Studios", "we", "us", or "our") operates Woof (the "App"), a social application that helps dog owners discover and connect with other dog owners and their dogs nearby.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices available to you when using Woof.

Woof is intended for people aged 16 and older.
We do not knowingly allow children under 16 to create or maintain accounts. If you believe that someone under 16 has provided personal information to Woof, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
Depending on how you use Woof, we may collect the following information.
Woof uses third-party authentication services to allow you to create and access your account:
Google Sign-In on supported devices and platforms;
Sign in with Apple on Apple devices and platforms where it is available.
Depending on the sign-in method you choose, we may receive information such as your email address, name, and a unique account identifier provided by the authentication provider.
We use this information to create and manage your Woof account and to authenticate you when you sign in.
We do not receive or have access to your Google or Apple account password.
Advertising
Woof shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect information from your device, such as the advertising ID, IP address and app usage, and, where you agree, use it to personalise ads. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent first. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy choices. Woof is designed around dog profiles. You may provide information such as:
dog's name;
breed;
age;
gender;
size;
personality and preferences;
information about what you are looking for;
profile biography;
photographs of your dog;
other information you voluntarily add to the dog's profile.
Please do not include unnecessary sensitive personal information in your profile or messages.
Woof may use your device's location to help you discover relevant dogs and dog owners nearby.
Location is used to provide proximity-based features and matching.
We aim to avoid displaying your precise location to other users. Other users may see information such as your approximate location, city, or distance from them rather than your exact coordinates.
You can control location permissions through your device settings. Some Woof features may not work correctly if location access is disabled.
We may collect information about your interactions with Woof, including:
likes and passes;
matches or connections;
conversations and messages;
blocks;
reports;
profile interactions;
notification and read-status information where applicable.
This information is necessary to provide the social and matching features of Woof and to help maintain a safe service.
We may collect limited technical information needed to operate the App, such as:
device or installation identifiers;
push notification token;
technical information required for authentication, security, diagnostics, and notifications.
We use the information we collect to:
create and manage your account;
create and display your dog profile;
show relevant nearby dogs and users;
provide matching and connection features;
enable communication between users;
send notifications;
process blocks and reports;
prevent abuse, fraud, spam, and other misuse;
maintain and improve Woof;
troubleshoot technical problems;
protect the security of the service;
comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Woof is a social application, so some information you provide is intended to be visible to other users.
Depending on the features you use, other users may be able to see information such as:
your dog's profile;
your dog's name and characteristics;
photographs you upload;
profile information you choose to provide;
approximate location or distance;
information you voluntarily share through conversations.
Do not publish information that you do not want other Woof users to see.
Private messages are intended for the participants of the conversation, but you should remember that anything you send to another person may potentially be copied, saved, or shared by that person.
We may use third-party service providers to operate parts of Woof.
These providers may process information on our behalf for purposes such as:
account authentication;
database and backend infrastructure;
image and file storage;
push notifications;
application functionality and security.
Woof uses Google for Google Sign-In and Apple for Sign in with Apple.
Woof may use Supabase for backend infrastructure, authentication-related services, database services, and storage.
Third-party providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies and our instructions where applicable.
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process personal information on one or more of the following legal bases:
Performance of a contract — when processing is necessary to provide Woof and its features to you.
Consent — where you have given consent, such as where required for certain permissions or communications.
Legitimate interests — where necessary to operate, secure, improve, and protect Woof, provided that these interests do not override your rights.
Legal obligations — where processing is required by applicable law.
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide Woof and maintain your account.
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize personal information associated with your account within a reasonable period, subject to information that we may be required or permitted to retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or other legitimate purposes.
Information that you have shared with another user, such as messages, may be retained in a limited form where necessary for the other user's account, safety, legal compliance, or abuse prevention.

the right to access your personal information;
the right to correct inaccurate information;
the right to request deletion of your information;
the right to request restriction of processing;
the right to object to certain processing;

However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. You should use a strong account password where applicable and avoid sharing sensitive personal information through your profile or messages.
Woof may use or link to third-party services. Those services have their own privacy practices and terms.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services that we do not control.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we make changes, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this page. If changes are significant, we may provide additional notice through the App or another appropriate method.
