Statement of Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy centers on the integration of technology to create engaging and personalized learning experiences. By combining innovative instructional design principles with advanced technological tools, I strive to empower students to become adaptable, digitally literate lifelong learners. My goal is to prepare them for success in an ever-evolving world.

Description of activities I have engaged in

After joining Purdue, I have worked as a research assistant (RA) and teaching assistant (TA). Specifically, my experiences as a TA are valuable for me in that they made me grow one step further. Detailed descriptions of my TA experiences (both undergraduate and graduate) are introduced in the following.

After joining Purdue

Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana (Aug. 2022 - Dec. 2023)

For Fall 2022 and Spring 2023, I worked as a Teaching Assistant (TA) for the EDCI 270 course for pre-service teachers' technology integration competencies. I facilitated a 16-week face-to-face technology integration course, assigned technology integration competency assignments, and graded their submissions. In addition, I communicated with my students synchronously / asynchronously to support their achievements on each badge work after the face-to-face lectures each week.

For Fall 2023, I worked as a Teaching Assistant (TA) for the EDCI 572 course for graduate students in Learning Design and Technology for their foundational understanding of the field, specifically the Dick & Carey model. I attended class activities in person, facilitated some discussions, graded their assignments, and shared my feedback under the guidance of my advisor, Dr. Huang.

Before joining Purdue (in South Korea)

Daegu National University of Education, Daegu, Republic of Korea (Mar. 2021 - Aug. 2021)

Daegu Sangyok Elementary School, Daegu, Republic of Korea (2017 - 2020)
