This is one of the best courses I have taken in my eight years of university. I enjoyed the material, the teaching style, and the course was very fair.
Such a great course and very well taught given the circumstances. Won Jae is such a great prof and I think he should be given an award. Exams were fair and learned a great deal from this course
Professor WonJae is very knowledgeable about the remediation and it definitely shows in his lectures. He definitely seems like he wants to be there teaching and it makes attending his class very interesting. His online lectures were very well organized and easy to follow. The time he put into them was appreciated. Overall a very good course.
I loved this course. The material presented was extremely applicable and practical. I liked how the course was organized so you learned the technical background during the first half then learned about current remediation techniques in the second half. Dr. Chang was a very good professor. I liked his lectures as he didn't just read off his slides but explained each concept further. The assignments and examinations were fair but made you think. I would highly recommend this course to anyone.
This course is challenging and prof Wonjae chang is energetic and enthusiastic to teach each and every concept related to this course, even in the present situation(COVID-19) prof given additional care toward us so that we are able to get to concepts without difficulty and interruption. Thanks to professor Wonjae Chang and U OF S
Professor Chang has a style of teaching that really contributed to my understanding of the course material. I am a visual learner, and really appreciate seeing sketches of concepts, cross–sections, etc. Professor Chang would often sketch concepts on his whiteboard as he explained the material, and this was very helpful. Professor Chang's enthusiasm for the course material made the lectures and concepts very interesting and informative.
Overall Wonjae delivered an excellent course despite the challenges of remote learning. The asynchronous lectures permitted students to watch the videos on their own time. Wonjae's habit of drawing key concepts on his whiteboard really helped visualize the complex engineering problems. Wonjae was also very supportive and respectful when I emailed him for help/clarification on my assignments.

Prof. Chang use of the chalkboard during class was extremely helpful in improving my understanding of the subject material. This was a class I never missed because I did not want to miss out on the useful diagrams and the interesting anecdotes about his research.
This course was by far my favourite this term thanks to your passionate and dynamic teaching style. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise and enthusiasm for environmental engineering!
Explanations were very clear and content was relevant to future career. Excellent prof and I thoroughly enjoyed the class. Definitely my favourite class and prof yet in university. Extremely helpful when it came to the design project and very approachable.
Best professor I've ever had
Professor Chang always explained topics clearly and gave assignments that further developed my understanding of the material.
Dr. Chang is an incredible professor & lecturer! He was incredibly clear with all of his teachings and always tied what we were learning back to the big picture. Something I especially loved that he did was discuss new research he was conducting with other people at the UofS as they related to our course topics. This made me especially interested in the research aspect of environmental engineering.
He was able to adapt his lectures to the online environment well and made the class interesting. His lectures were my favourite to watch this term.
A very good professor put lots of effort into the course with the online transition. Excellent work helping me understand the material

Professor WonJae Chang was very patient and understanding as we went through the year. He helped us understand the required components of the deliverables and provided helpful comments and suggestions on how to improve our work. The overall quality was excellent
Prof. Chang was a wonderful faculty advisor. No one in our group had any experience in remediation before capstone, and he really helped guide us through the process and provided a lot of materials to facility our learning and understanding of the process. We really couldn't have done it without him!
Overall quality was excellent.
