Wolseley Wild Play was started in 2024 by Kaleigh Quinn, in an effort to create outdoor adventures with her two children in the Wolseley community.
Kaleigh Quinn is a nature-lover, who loves to adventure outdoors with her family. She's an avid cyclist, and has been on over 3000km of cycling adventures in Canada, the USA, and Croatia. She has a Bachelor and Masters of Education, and extensive experience working with kids in both indoor and outdoor settings.
Kaleigh is a facilitator at all of the Wolseley Wild Play programs.
Kaleigh has an 8 year old and 20 month old, who join most WWP programming.
Madeline has spent many years working at The Movement Centre of Manitoba and St. Amant and holds a BA from the University of Winnipeg. She believes strongly that children deserve autonomy, emotional expression, and the freedom to lead their own learning. Since being part of Wolseley Wild Play she has seen how outdoor experiential learning and real community foster problem solving and self trust. She will be a certified Forest School Facilitator with the Child and Nature Alliance of Canada in 2026 and in her spare time enjoys singing, reading and gardening.
Madeline is a facilitator at all of the Wolseley Wild Play programs. Madeline has a 6 year old who joins most WWP programming.
Hongsheng Yao is an Early Childhood Education student at RRC, a hiking enthusiast who explored many trails in MB last year. a former software engineer with a Bachelor's degree.
Hongsheng Yao has a 3-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old son. His best experience is playing with his kids in various outdoor places.
Hongshen is a facilitator at the after school program on Thursdays.
Chantelle Cotton is a Middle Years to High School teacher with 20 years of experience and training in sustainable development, outdoor education and Indigenous pedagogy. Chantelle is often seen cycling, skiing, skating, paddling or swimming with her family or a large group of students in Winnipeg all year long. She has her Masters of Education in Critical Issues and several cycling certificates through the Kids of Mud program and Sport Manitoba.
Chantelle will be a facilitator at the Bike Adventure Program on Wednesdays from 3:30 - 5:30pm.
Aidyn Cotton Brown is a high school student, with an enthusiam for travel and outdoor adventure. She recently completed a year long trip, travelling the world with her family. She enjoys sharing her love of the outdoors and adventure with people of all ages.
Aidyn will be a facilitator at the in-service programs throughout the fall and winter.
Cheri Rohloff is an outdoor adventure enthusiast, meditator, musician and teacher, with a Bachelor of Psychology, a 10-month Wilderness survival Skills training, and Forest Bathing Facilitator training.
Cheri will be a facilitator at the Outdoor Adventure Program on Thursdays from 3:30 - 5:30pm.
Karlee Lemus is an active outdoor lover. On weekends she hosts a run club in the Wolseley neighbourhood and loves camping and swimming any chance she can get. When she isn’t outside, she’s often found with a book or journal in her hands.
She has a Bachelor of Environmental Studies and is looking to pursue her Bachelor of Education next.
Karlee will be a facilitator at the In-Service Programs throughout the fall and winter.
We are seeking a passionate, reliable, and creative Outdoor Play & Learning Facilitator to lead outdoor after-school sessions for children. The facilitator will guide nature-based play and learning experiences while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
This role is ideal for someone who is excited not only to facilitate programming but also to grow alongside us, and interested in expanding Wolseley Wild Play into a 5-day/week after-school program in the fall and contributing to the long-term development of the program. Learn more here.
