  • Café/bistro Zeppos, Vleminckveld 78: located near the Mechelseplein and the ideal retreat for shoppers, sunbathers (nice terrace in summer) and no-nonsense food lovers. 15 minute walk from Stadscampus.

  • Restaurant aan de Stroom RAS (Ernest Van Dijckkaai 37), designed by Flemish master architect bOb Van Reeth – very spectacular and stylish spot, overlooking the river. 15 minute walk from Stadscampus.

  • New place: Fiera: Near Handelsbeurs and very near Stadscampus (Lange Nieuwstraat 14) - houses in a magical building, once the Schippersbeurs and Handelsbeurs in Antwerp.

  • Camino (Muntstraat 4), an Asian culinary restaurant. 20 minute walk from Stadscampus.

  • Grandcafé Horta: In the heart of the shopping district (Hopland 2). The iron trusses of the former "Volkshuis" (design by Victor Horta) in Brussels were updated and given a new life as the room's structure. 20 minute walk from Stadscampus.

    • Paters Vaetje, Blauwmoezelstraat 1 (near the Cathedral): they offer a great selection of beers, and the pub is open late. You can also eat something small. Recommended: Troubadour Magma

    • Boer van Tienen, Mechelseplein 6 - 20 minute walk from Stadscampus.

    • Papa Jos, Blindestraat 39 (University district), typical student café, little terrace.

    •  Coffeebar Vandoag is’t, Prinsesstraat 2 (University district), cosy place where students, professors, researchers enjoy a nice coffee.
