It is the policy of the Centre to maintain an environment appropriate for the protection of archival materials and conducive to research. Food and beverages attract unwanted pests that damage archival materials. By complying with the policy, users and staff will help maintain a clean work environment, pest-free buildings, and aid in the preservation of our collections for future generations, while enjoying some food and drink within the Centre.
Do not bring food or drinks into areas posted “No Food or Drink” regardless of the type of container you have.

When you enter the Centre, we ask that you turn off your cell phone ringer. There will be areas marked as "Quiet Zones", as such we ask that users please respect others by keeping conversations with neighbours short and with a lowered voice. If you need to have an extended phone conversation, please go outside the Centre to do so. Remember to take your valuable belongings with you, should you leave your study space, even for a short time.
The use of tobacco products of any kind is not permitted in the Centre. This includes, but is not limited to:
