Maintaining our small community is a team effort. Any home owner (including existing board members) may volunteer to be a part of these committees, and they are self-organizing (members select their own chair). In addition to the work our board performs, there are a number of committee's that perform critical functions:
Grounds Committee: Responsible for day to day management of our grounds supplier. Grounds include grass cutting, sprinkler and irrigation maintenance, fall clean-up and small improvement projects. It does not include tree pruning, removal and planting.
Tree Committee: Responsible for identifying trees that need to be removed and working with affected homeowners to identify desirable replacement and/or new trees to be planted. Also works with our Arborist on required tree pruning. All recommendations put to the board for approval.
Road Committee: Responsible for keeping an updated forecast of road maintenance work, collecting bids, selecting service providers to perform work and verifying the quality of work. All recommendations put to the board for final approval.
Architecture Committee: Responsible for approving architectural changes (includes house re-painting, roof shingle color, new standalone structures (e.g. sheds), fence replacements, solar panels and the like). The architecture committee is generally one and the same with the board of directors due to the generally small number of requests in any given year.
