welfare management UNIT

WHAT IS STUDENTS WELFARE?

Student welfare is an important component in the overall management of student matters. Thus, The International Islamic University Malaysia emphasizes the significance of a Welfare Management Unit to provide support and services to the huge population of students. It is worth mentioning that IIUM is currently educating approximately 25,000 students. Among them, 4000 are International students coming from more than 100 countries. Therefore, there is no doubt the integration and acculturation processes may impact both their social and psychological well-being.

Accordingly, At the International Islamic University Malaysia, a mechanism to address the welfare and wellbeing of the students comes into being under the purview of the Students Affairs and Development Division.
