Exams &Quizzes

Final Exam:

Saturday, March 16, 2019, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm

(Rooms will be announced later.)

Make-up Final: Please refer to the math department's policy on requesting a make-up final; You must request by Friday, Feb 22 in order to receive consideration.

Midterms:

Midterm 1: Feb 1, Friday 4:00 pm -- 4:50 pm in class

Covers Chapter 1 and Chapter 2

Midterm 2: Feb 25, Monday 4:00 pm -- 4:50 pm in class

Covers Chapter 3

Quizzes:

Quizzes are given in the discussion sections on Mondays(for Section C30) or Tuesdays( for Section C31).

(There are two Mondays which are holidays. In this case, the quiz will be given on that Wednesday. )

9 Quizzes in total.
The lowest quiz score will be dropped.
Questions on the quizzes will be based on the suggested homework problems.
Each quiz consists of two problems and lasts for 15-20 minutes.

Exam Policy:

No calculators, notes, texts, phones, tablets, computers, etc. will be allowed on the final exam. Students should not check their phones for any reason during the exam.
You must bring your UCI ID to the final exam. If your photo on your UCI ID is faded, you must also bring another form of photo ID, such as your driver's license.
