You do not need to be Bengali or know anyone to lend a hand. Students, families, and friends make this celebration possible — from decorating the venue to preparing bhog and welcoming guests.
Volunteer for Durga Puja 2026. Choose a team and share your availability before or during October 17–18. The organizers will contact you to coordinate assignments.
Newcomers can email wlafpuja@gmail.com about getting involved, finding a suitable shift, or asking about transport.

Cook-and-freeze preparation begins: make ahead what freezes well, then label and store.

A second preparation day for make-ahead cooking, freezing, and labeling.

Planned at the BTCCGL kitchen, two days before puja.

Set up tables and chairs, support meal service, and clean up afterward. Most meals are at 1210 Montgomery St; Saturday dinner is at Purdue Global, 2550 Northwestern Ave. Some tasks involve lifting.
