Get ready to put a crater in procrastination by joining us at our Plan-It party on September 14th, 2023. We'll be visiting the Hardin Planetarium to hear more about how we perceive time and to discuss how what we value shows up in how we spend our time.

Join us for First-Gen Friday on the first Friday of every month. This month, on October 6th, 2023, we'll be talking about Well-U, a program here at WKU that rewards you for being healthy! Games, snacks and drinks will be provided to all SSS participants who attend.

Ben Robertson, our resident tutor coordinator and expert on all things history and writing, will be giving a presentation on citations for academic papers. Students are strongly encouraged to attend if they are required to write papers for any of their current or future courses.

We'll be heading to the beautiful Downing Art Museum and Baker Arboretum for a session on effective note-taking and study skills with Ashley Thompson from The Learning Center. If you've never been to the arboretum before, just know that fall is the perfect time to enjoy some time outdoors in nature.

Assistant Director of Recruitment and Retention Sarah Haught will be teaching you how to understand your financial aid package here at WKU. She'll also share some important information about the upcoming updates to the FAFSA. The menu for this event includes lemon rosemary chicken, rigatoni and marinara, and mini cheesecake tarts! It is strongly encouraged that you sign up using this link or the QR code so we can guarantee enough food for everyone.
