Alcohol and Cannabis Use Interventions
One of the main focuses of research in the TECH Lab is on alcohol and cannabis use interventions. We use cutting-edge methods to develop, evaluate, and deliver efficacious alcohol and cannabis use interventions in order to increase accessibility to evidence-based intervention and treatment. A main focus of several previously funded interventions has been decreasing alcohol and cannabis impaired driving among emerging adults using mobile phone technology. (* indicates student author)

Factors Influencing Heavy Substance Use and Substance Use Related Problems
Another area of focus for us is to examine factors that influence heavy substance use and substance related problems, such as trauma, poor sleep, emotion dysregulation, substance demand, delay discounting, social support, and suicidal ideation. Identifying these factors also allows us to know what new variables to target in future technology based interventions. (* indicates student author)
