Withlacoochee Lodge is the official Order of the Arrow lodge established in 2013, serving South Georgia Council and has been an integral part of Scouting in our region for many years. As Lodge 98, we are committed to upholding the principles of Brotherhood, Cheerfulness, and Service, guiding our members in leadership, personal growth, and community involvement. Withlacoochee Lodge has a long and proud history within the Order of the Arrow. Throughout the years, we have hosted Ordeals, Fellowship Weekends, Section Conferences, and National Leadership Seminars, strengthening our members and community through service and camaraderie.
As a lodge, our mission is to support Scouting, service, and leadership while preserving the customs and heritage of the Order of the Arrow. We strive to develop the next generation of leaders by fostering a spirit of brotherhood, promoting outdoor adventure, and engaging in meaningful service projects that benefit our local communities and Scout camps.
Withlacoochee Lodge is committed to providing its members with opportunities for growth, service, and fellowship through a variety of activities, including:
Ordeal & Brotherhood Ceremonies – Welcoming new members and supporting their journey to Brotherhood membership.
Fellowship Weekends – Fun-filled weekends featuring games, competitions, leadership training, and team-building activities.
Service Projects – Giving back to our camps and communities through conservation efforts, trail maintenance, and improvement projects.
Leadership Development – Training opportunities that help Arrowmen become stronger leaders within their troops, our lodge, and beyond.
National and Regional OA Events – Participation in OA High Adventure, National Leadership Seminars, and Section Gatherings (Conclave & Indian Winter)
Withlacoochee Lodge is led by youth officers, supported by adult advisers, who guide the lodge while ensuring that leadership remains in the hands of young Arrowmen. We have a Lodge Key 5, which are the Lodge Chief, Vice Chief of Programs, VIce Chief of Admins, Secretary, and Treasurer. The lodge is also divided into chapters, each representing different districts within our council. These chapters organize local events, service projects, and meetings to keep members engaged and active.
Lodge Chief – The youth leader responsible for overseeing all lodge operations.
Vice Chiefs – Leaders in charge of membership, service, and program coordination.
Lodge Secretary & Treasurer – Officers who manage communications and financial operations.
Chapter Chiefs – Youth leaders overseeing lodge activities within their respective districts.
Lodge Adviser & Associate Advisers – Adult mentors who provide guidance and support.
Whether you are a newly inducted member or a longtime Arrowman looking to reconnect, there are countless ways to engage with Withlacoochee Lodge.
