2021 - 2022
With the release of Elden Ring, the themed cosplay we had to craft at the end of the year has been pinned on this game and general world. Although we were fairly free in the general creation process, we, of course, had to make sure it was in lign with Elden Ring's lore.
I had no experience with From Software's games, so I had to research my way into this worldbuilding and consult the one student with a lot of knowledge about the subject.
This is probably the project that sent me spiraling through the joy of manual creation and makeup.
Tasked with having to make a board game out of the show, I can proudly say that I had to enjoy a cultural piece for work. Though I have never played League of Legends and don't intend to, the animation was great and the story brought me a few ideas.
We were several on the project and I was mainly in charge of rules, card effect ideas and typos spotting.
For this one, we had to design a character by mixing several animals that were related to water. I chose to use octopus, otter, narwhal and jellyfish!
I spent more time on the background of the character than the actual design, purely because I enjoyed the idea of making up a fake deep water civilisation.
