The Innovation Ecosystem Guide is a practical tool for understanding and navigating the innovation ecosystem in the UK and Ireland water sector. It has been created to help innovators find, understand and access the support that is available to them.
This database is the live record behind the guide. New organisations, or new types of support offered by existing organisations, will be captured here - keeping our collective understanding of the ecosystem current as it evolves to meet new challenges.

Since The Water Innovation Strategy 2050 launched, the innovation landscape has grown more complex, with more organisations, new collaborations, and changing regulatory pressures. This makes it harder to understand who does what and how ideas progress toward adoption.
The Water Innovation Strategy (WIS) Ecosystem Guide provides the high-level map: it explains how innovation moves from research to adoption and clarifies the roles of utilities, funders, regulators, and partners so innovators know where to go next.
The Living Database is the engine behind that map. It tracks organisations, programmes, and support offers in real time, keeping the ecosystem picture current as it evolves.
