C.S. Brown School Auditorium

C. 1926

Examples of Colonial Revival-style architecture include the 1926 C.S. Brown School Auditorium (102 C.S. Brown School Drive), a Rosenwald-funded building built during the 1926-1927 school year. Listed in the National Register in 1985, and also known as Brown Hall, the building currently houses the C.S. Brown Regional Cultural Arts Center and Museum. It has flanking classroom wings on each side and features a pedimented portico with replacement Tuscan columns ornamented with dentil molding and entablature.
