There were many different types of educators. Loved the philosophy behind the movement and bringing various teachers together to share experiences and ideas.
I loved the way it was set up. Just seeing how the activities were organized gave me a lot of great ideas for my classroom. I loved how the overall feeling was that everyone has something to offer and everyone must be heard. It was awesome to work together as a team and share ideas and teaching tactics. I want my classroom to feel like this retreat felt. I want everyone to feel comfortable sharing what they are learning and know that they belong here!
It was short and sweet, but led by conversation between the attendees, which I liked. It gave us the chance to find solutions to problems we actually face day-to-day.
I was so excited to get back to teaching after this event. It is exactly what I needed!
So relaxing and beautiful as well as educational as we met together as faculty members.
I was able to connect with someone to brainstorm about my specific problem/issue that I brought with me to the retreat.
I loved the small group of faculty that attended. I was expecting a group of 200-300 people so I was shocked when I saw there were only 30 or so. I loved the intimate setting and getting time to visit and learn from other faculty.
I really appreciated the variety of disciplines represented in the group. It challenged me to think outside my usual box. I appreciated the balance of whole-group and small-group interactions, as well as ample personal time built in.
I came home with lots of new resources.
I love that we were split into groups in a way that allowed for interaction with a variety of participants.
The opportunity to really connect with other teachers from different disciplines was invaluable. As I returned to the classroom this week, I was motivated to teach even better.
I will be bringing a lot of the enthusiasm I picked up at the retreat into the classroom!
I really liked the format, the rules, and the location!
Engaging in small groups with like minded people.
I LOVE the chance to come together with other teachers and learn from each other -- I love meeting new teachers!
