Fit Families

With a rolling enrollment of 50 families this program adds another opportunity for WIC staff to provide education and reinforcement items to establish healthy habits as a family.

Diaper Bank

In 2019, staff distributed diapers 2198 times to families in need in Northern Winnebago County! Of those receiving free diapers, 82% were under the federal poverty level (for a family of 4 FPL is $25,100 income per year).

Milk Depot

The Mothers' Milk Bank of the Western Great Lakes provides pasteurized donor human milk to premature and critically ill babies, supports moms who donate milk after loss, and distributes reduced cost or free donor milk to chronically ill middle and low income children.

In 2019, 9,439 ounces of donor milk were received and transported through the Oshkosh Depot.

Breastfeeding

According to the World Health Organization, breastfeeding reduces infant mortality and provides benefits later on in life. We're working to establish breastfeeding as the norm in Winnebago County.
