With these grants, we've funded field trips, innovative learning supplies, headsets, art and music supplies, and books in the Take Home Reading Library.

Teachers, that are current PTA members, may submit a proposal for classroom projects, activities, supplies, or trips, that will enrich the academic experience of students at Windsor Elementary School. An updated form link is below.

"Thank you, PTA! Because of your grant, we were able to purchase a versatile castle backdrop for multiple productions, supplies to create our large snowflakes, and storage bags for all of our costumes. We truly appreciate your support of our program—it means so much to us!" Andrea Porter, Fine Arts
"The students love having a place where they can leave their desks and work. It has worked so well in my reading corner this whole year! However, some of my flexible seating options broke. I am hoping to replace them to give the students an opportunity to have a comforting and comfortable place to learn and read. It is also my calming corner."

Mrs. Cruz, 2nd grade, requested a PTA Classroom Grant for additional flexible seating in her classroom. She says her students are more engaged and focused when they have flexible seating options.
"I have been the recipient of the PTA grant for four years now. Each year, I have really enjoyed using the grant to help with my classroom needs. For example, one year, I bought a class set of headphones that I still use today. When I switched to teaching in full time Spanish, my classroom library diminished exponentially overnight. Thanks to the PTA grant, for two years I have been able to buy books for my classroom library. The students have enjoyed having this resource to improve their reading skills, augment their Spanish vocabulary and grammar, and simply enjoy reading a good book. Thank you, PTA! "I received the PTA grant for this year, and was able to buy a ton of sensory toys for my students. In Special Education it is a huge reward to have sensory items that help them feel good. I was able to get a weighted blanket, books on feelings, some squishing items, a weighted stuffed animal, Pop Its and a few other things. The students have loved these items, and now I have enough for every child to have one or two items during sensory time!" Nicole Adams, Special Education Preschool
