GLW - Events

All Racers - same Conditions - Boat locked

Events provide variable weatherconditions in different local areas.
Weather means different Wind, Waves und Currents that locally overlay general world weather conditions.

GLW Events can be races or cruises. All sailors have the same wind conditions.
For GLW races Boat Auto Trim functions are disabled and locked,
GLW cruises allow Auto Trim functions.

Select Events

Click the GLW Logo, then select "Events"
The boat gets weather data for various areas from a server.

Events Menu

Select the eventname given by the RaceDirector (for example "racing snipecup")
If the Event is not listed, select "Add Event" to add that event for future races. Enter in this format: "racing snipecup" or "glw Sjogin" (without quotes).
After pressing the Eventname or "Submit", the boat registers for the event.
- Delete Last if you added a typo by accident
- Delete All clears the event list.
- Restore the list from a backup.
WindCompass GLW gets racewind from the boat.
Depending what sort of Event you selected, you see:
- "▞▞▏ GLW Race..." for a Racing Event (autotrim blocked)
- "⚑ GLW Cruise ..." for a Cruise Event (autotrim available)
including eventname and eventdirector in the Infotext above the Compass

Cancel Event

Moor the boat
Click the GLW Logo, then select either "cruising" or "mywind"
The boat unregisters from the Race Event
WindCompass GLW shows "♥ Personal..." in the Windinfotext above the Compass
