Dear Parent or Guardian: 

I’d like to welcome your student to my classroom. I’m looking forward to a happy and productive semester together.

We will focus on the following curricular areas:

Please return the necessary forms to allow your child use of the school computers as we will be using them daily. My grading policy is based on a system of total points. Tests are always announced and there will be a thorough review before each. Quizzes will be given on vocabulary, and occasionally for reading assignments. Students can use the online literature textbook to avoid having to carry a heavy book, and students who do not have reliable internet access may check out a book to use. Homework in my class will usually take the form of longer-term projects and novel-based reading assignments. 

I encourage parents to keep up with their child’s grades in Genesis, which I try to update at least once a week. I hope to meet you at Meet the Teachers night.
