On Thursday March 9, 2023 the day before Spring Break began, there were ten emails within a twelve minute time span complaining about students wearing hoods and the policies around hoods. These emails were around 1pm; the school day began at 8am and ends at 2:45.

In 2017, a student who completed five rounds of chemotherapy and was in remission "spent three days in a school office last week for wearing a beanie made for cancer patients" even though she had prior approval.
