Human Rights Activists/Youth Leaders or Animators who are enthusiastic about expanding their knowledge and skills about outdoor education.
Trainers and facilitators in various non-formal settings, working directly with youth and youth workers.
Are 20 and older
Have some experience in youth work;
Engage with children and young people in their free time, whether as professionals (paid youth workers) or as volunteers (unpaid youth workers or those receiving a volunteer allowance).
Take an active role in their organization (either as professionals or volunteers);
Can pass on the learned competencies to their fellow youth workers within or outside the organization;
Have little to no experience with outdoor education but are motivated to explore and immerse themselves in this field;
If experienced: open to exchange in a respectful way
Are open-minded, curious, and eager to learn and share their experiences with others;
Maintain an open attitude toward all participants and recognize the value and qualities of everyone present;
Are prepared for a unique outdoor experience, including sleeping in tents, being active outdoors 90% of the time, and adapting to the long summer days in Norway where light persists for most of the day;
Understand and are ready to face unpredictable weather conditions, as it is possible to experience summer, autumn, and even winter-like weather all in one day.

You will hear from JOETZ very soon after the application deadline whether you have been selected or not. Keep a close eye on your mailbox during the week of 6/04.
After selection we ask you to sign a document agreeing to the project terms and to give us extra logistical info.
After your selection is confirmed, you can also start looking for travel options. This will be done together with your sending organization. You (or they) will send travel proposals to JOETZ.
Always wait for confirmation from JOETZ before buying tickets!
After the travel proposals are confirmed, purchase of tickets and insurance can start. Only the most ecological and/or economical option transportation will be reimbursed. Travel must be economy/2nd class for a plane, train or bus ticket. Taxi costs will not be refunded unless there is no public transport available that covers your journey.
Last step: both the agreement on project terms, the purchased tickets and proof of insurance must be uploaded for each participant in a Google Drive folder.
