Chess Tournament with Centurion Gunnarr Bjornulfsson

• • Both youth and adults alike are welcome to test their prowess in an all-day chess tourney for both bragging rights, and a super cool top prize! 

  • Tournament begins at 1:00 PM.

Cookie Contest & Bake Sale

• • Bring your best decorated cookie, individually wrapped, for the judges. Any kind of cookie can be entered, so go wild! Make sure to include an ingredient list. Drop-off will be near Gate between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM.

  • For those wishing to donate to the bake sale, please drop off your individually packaged and labeled treats—with clearly labeled ingredient lists—near Gate. The bake sale will be open from Noon - 4:00 PM.

Largesse Derby

• • For those who wish to enter the 2024 Wiesenfeuer Yule's Largesse Derby, please bring seven (7) pieces of largesse. 

  • Six (6) of these will be entered into largesse for Their Excellencies Wiesenfeuer, and one (1) of each item will be entered into a winning prize basket, to be awarded at the end of the competition.

Tea and Cakes in Arcadia

• Join Her Excellency Eadwyn seo Gathyrde on a journey to Arcadia in winter and be transported to a mythical realm.  Tea and cocoa will be provided. Maestra Tatiana will bring cake to celebrate her birthday with friends in 16th century Italian flair. If you have any treats you'd like to share, they will be welcome as we all know what happens if you eat food from the fae!

• Inspiration for the tea theme borrowed from "A Feast of the Gods" hosted by the famous painter Titian in Venice, 1 August 1540 for a small gathering of intellectuals and artists.

• Members of the Populace young and old are invited to treat with The Man Himself: Father Winter, as portrayed by the one and jovial, Iarll Owen ap Aeddan ap Trahaearne!

Baron VS. Baroness Snowball Fight!

• Bring your crocheted, your knitted, your pom-pom snowballs from home for an all-out snowball fight between our firey Populace as we test Baron VS. Baroness. 

• Snowballs in all their safe and soft forms are welcomed as donations ahead of the event and for drop-off at Gate.

Bring your donations to benefit the Barony of Wiesenfeuer's Shed Fund! Drop off your donations in the Narthax Room by 10:00 AM.

Bidding will close at 3:00 PM.

Wiesenfeuer is proud to host the elevations of not one but two Candidate-Elects to The Order of the Laurel: Her Excellency, Baroness Beatrix Funteyn, and the Honorable Lady Cera ingen Fháeláin. 

Chiv Snowball Tourney

• The Chiv Tourney Format will be a snowball tournament so it starts 1v1 then 2v2, and so on. The winner becomes the team leader. The winning team leader becomes the overall team lead, and so on, until finishing with a nice little melee for the last round.

Spear-it of Yule Tourney

• The Spear Tourney Format will be a Swiss Five, with spears of varying lengths. All participants must have a spear authorization. If a participant is lacking their spear authorization, please arrange to meet with Darian de Shameless.

Cut & Thrust Tourney

• The Cut & Thrust tourney will be an unmatched Swiss Four. The four forms are; single, rigid parry, soft parry, and dagger. There will be a final round as needed. Blades may not be longer than 40". Each pairing will fight the best two out of three.

Yule is a busy event, so taking care of yourself is extra important. If you find yourself in need of a quiet retreat or somewhere to take a seat, visit The Sanctuary, hosted by Seren of Namron.

• The Sanctuary is not your average quiet room.  It is a haven for the weary and overstimulated. Our mission is to provide an almost homelike atmosphere with comfy places to nap, plushies to snuggle, and blankets to cuddle to help calm the mind and soothe the soul while maintaining a safe environment for any who need it.  All walks of life are welcome.  Come and share a hot drink with us while you rest and recharge your batteries so that you may enjoy this wonderful event to the absolute fullest.
