Supporting education for children in Doro, South Sudan
Our aim
Wieñ wongno means "knowledge" in the Maban language. Our charity's aim is to support the establishment and running of Doro community primary school in Doro village, Maban County, South Sudan; with a view to making it sustainable and self-reliant.

Doro is a remote village in Maban county with natural beauty and plentiful wildlife. Its people are stoic, kind and have a strong sense of dignity. Unfortunately, they face many challenges including food shortages, limited healthcare resources, lack of education and poverty. Despite this, the people of Doro hope for a better future for their children, hence their resolve to provide them with education even in the face of these challenges.
What we do

Provide financial support for the running of Doro primary school.

Working toward self-reliance and sustainability of the primary school through supporting local projects that raise revenue for the school.

Capacity building through providing training to teachers.

Providing the school with teaching and learning materials.
