Hello, everyone! This is Mrs. Ying Jiang. I have been teaching in Wichita Chinese School since 2016. Over the years I have been passionate about teaching Chinese with the purpose of maintaining and enriching Chinese cultural heritage among younger generations in America. I have enjoyed teaching students in Wichita Chinese school and would love to work with all interested students and families from the community. In my spare time, I love listening to music, watching movies and travelling with my family.

I have accumulated a wealth of experience in long-term teaching. I can create an atmosphere that adapts to the children’s Chinese learning interest and personality development. I also have a lot of experience in teaching children Chinese from multiple other languages.

This is Mrs. Joy. Teaching mandarin for over 6 years. In my class, I emphasize the learning of Chinese words, sentence structures and the ability to use Chinese to communicate. By using games, crafts, show and tell, performing short Chinese story, creating Chinese poems… etc. My students develop active learning with the play-based approach. The role of a Chinese teacher, as I believe, is to motivate students to learn the language actively by using the language.

Hello, I’m Mrs. Chris Zhou, a native speaker of Mandarin and Shanghainese. Through my experience in both the Chinese and American education systems, I’ve discovered the key for US students to successfully learn Mandarin is to ignite their interests. To make the learning process enjoyable, I incorporate various engaging elements such as stories, games, songs and other interactive activities in my class. As a mother of a schoolboy and a teenage girl, I am deeply passionate about education and teach them supplementary courses in Mandarin and math. As time goes by, my personal interests have extended to literature, history and art. I want to share my knowledges and experiences with kids and inspire them to explore Mandarin with curiosity and creativity.
