Scope: With an intention to promote skill-oriented learning, this workshop plans to explore multiple dimensions of trending innovations in the field of IoT and blockchain. It aims at leveraging the interoperability challenges through hands-on experiences of these cutting-edge technologies that converge towards building a smarter and safer future.

Topics: IoT systems, protocols, architecture, applications and hands-on on deployment and data collection; Blockchain architecture, framework, model, smart contract, Solidity, Fabric and Industry applications

About IIITG

Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati (IIITG) is an institution of National Importance under an Act of Parliament (THE INDIAN INSTITUTES OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP) ACT, 2017). It offers B.Tech. courses in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Computer Science Engineering (CSE), and runs PhD programmes in ECE, CSE, Mathematics, and Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS). M.Tech. programmes in CSE and ECE are starting from July 2018. IIITG started operations in August 2013 with B.Tech programmes in CSE and ECE. The first batch of B.Tech. students completed their programme in May 2017. The first convocation of the Institute was held on May 15 2018.

The Institute shifted to its campus on July 2 2018. The campus is located on a 67 acre plot, 4 km from Guwahati airport, on the National Highway. Hostels for 400 boys and 100 girls are ready, as are 48 flats for faculty. A 9200 sqm Academic-cum-Administration building will house all the Institute’ activities. Besides these buildings, there is a treated water supply system, an electric substation with backup generators, and a decentralised sewage disposal system.

Mr. S. Ramadorai, former CEO of Tata Consultancy Services, is the Chairman of the Board of Governors. Prof. Gautam Barua, former Director of IIT Guwahati, is the Director of the Institute.
