Alumni of Wuhan University In Canada

The Alumni of Wuhan University in Canada (AWUC), officially established on November 30, 2005, by Wuhan University alumni in Toronto and surrounding areas, including the eastern part of Canada, is a non-profit organization formally registered with the Ontario government.

As a group member of the Wuhan University Alumni Association, AWUC has obtained authorization and recognition from Wuhan University. It is registered with the Wuhan University Alumni Association but operates independently without a subordinate relationship.

The mission of AWUC is to uphold the excellent tradition of Self-improvement, Magnanimity, Truth-seeking, and Innovation. It aims to provide a platform for mutual exchange among all Wuhan University alumni in Canada, fostering friendship and creating an interactive space to enhance the connection among alumni. AWUC serves as a link for alumni in Canada in their career development and spiritual life, uniting and organizing various beneficial activities and gatherings. It also offers more opportunities for those who wish to get acquainted with and meet people associated with Wuhan University. The association seeks to unite and organize alumni in Canada for various activities and social events, promoting mutual assistance and creating a home for overseas Wuhan University alumni.

The mission and objectives of AWUC include:

Adhering to Canadian constitution, laws, regulations, and national policies, as well as upholding social moral standards.
Serving members: Promoting the alumni spirit of "sincerity, care, dedication, and inclusiveness," strengthening connections with the alma mater and various Wuhan University alumni associations and alumni, organizing various exchange activities, gatherings, and social events to foster emotional bonds among members, share life experiences, expand the Wuhan University alumni network, and achieve complementary advantages through resource integration. Providing a platform for communication to create value and facilitate members' career development, happy lives, emotional exchange, and further education.
Serving society: Upholding the fine traditions of Wuhan University, leveraging alumni resources, actively assisting the development of alumni businesses and individuals in the Canadian region, exchanging resources, and progressing together.

Association Purpose

The association's main purpose is to provide a spiritual bond for Canadian alumni, especially senior alumni, and to unite and organize various beneficial activities and gatherings. It helps new elderly immigrants adapt to the new living environment and provides more opportunities to meet and get to know each other. The association aims to unite and organize Canadian alumni to carry out various activities and social activities, promote mutual assistance, and provide a home for overseas elderly new immigrants.

The main sports and cultural projects currently carried out include pickleball, bridge, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, healthy life guidance for the senior people, Tai Chi classes, song and dance performances, travel guides, English training for the new comers, etc.
