Welcome to the Washington high School Chorus Department. As a member of a WHS Choir, you are part of one of the finest Choral Programs in the region.
Founded in 1909, the Washington High School Choral Program offers a variety of opportunities for students of all musical backgrounds. The Freshman and Warrior Choruses allow students to develop a foundation in singing while performing fun and challenging literature. Concert Choir allows students to continue to challenge themselves by being part of an elite auditioned group. Our lunch ensemble program allows students to develop specialized vocal skills in many different areas. We offer three jazz choirs, two show choirs, a Soprano/Alto Choir and a Tenor/Bass Choir.
Each performing group at WHS participates in numerous concerts and community events each year. Highlights include the All State Choir, Region II Solo & Small Ensemble Contest, Region II Large Group Contest, Fall, Winter, Mid-Winter and Spring Concerts, the Concert Choir Variety Show and Washington High School’s very own “Best of Show” Show Choir Competition and Jazz Choir Festival.
Pride, Tradition, and Excellence – these three words form the cornerstone of the WHS Choral Department. You are now a part of something very special. Thank you for choosing to share your talents with others!
