CONGRESS

Gabi Avramova! is beyond excited to serve as the Congressional Debate Consultant for the Westlake Speech and Debate Team. She is currently a freshman at The University of Texas at Austin, majoring in journalism. In high school, Gabi was highly involved in Congressional Debate and served as the Vice-President of her team. It is her hope that the students with which she works will have a similar experience. 

WORLD SCHOOLS

Judi Aly is happy to join Westlake as the World Schools Consultant this year! She is super excited to be a part of this team. Judi specialized in  Congressional Debate for 4 years in high school and finaled at tournaments like UT and Harvard. Currently, she is studying finance, mathematics, and sustainability at the University of Texas at Austin. 

 ORAL INTERPRETATION

Alexandria Crouse Bond is a multi-time TFA & UIL State Finalist with a focus on Oral Interpretation events. She just finished an incredible project with a nonprofit organization, Lawyers For Good Government (L4GG). It's with great passion that she supports students as they articulate arguments through literature to convey their message and mission, truly believes our students strong and powerful voices.

LINCOLN DOUGLAS

Nate Watkins debated in Lincoln Douglas and Policy for 3 years for LC Anderson High School. During his career, he was #2 in the nation, had 10 Bids to the Tournament of Champions and Quarterfinal the Tournament of Champions. He is ecstatic to work with Westlake LD! 

EXTEMPORANEOUS SPEAKING

Sahith Reddy is a freshman at the University of Texas at Austin, and is delighted to bring his passion for speech and debate to the table as a consultant for Westlake this year! As a proficient public address speaker, Sahith has champed national tournaments such as Harvard & Emory while also earning a TFA State Championship. In extemporaneous speaking,. Understanding the importance of utilizing our voices, Sahith is eager to spread this admiration for communication to not only educate but hopefully inspire students to advocate for what they believe in.  

PUBLIC FORUM

Eliza Avramova is the 25-26 PF Debate Consultant. She is a student at UT Austin double majoring in Honor International Relations on the Security track and Government. She competed on the local and national circuit, most notably earning Gold Bids to the Tournament of Champions and semifinaling in both her junior and senior year at the NSDA National Tournament. She was a TFA State semifinalist and the Heart of Texas District Champion in 2021 and 2022.
