Josh Butchart (director and designer) is in his ninth year of teaching theatre at WHS. He studied theatre and education at Whitman College, and has two M.Ed.s in Educational Leadership and Public Policy from the University of Washington. He is the proud dad of two delightful kiddos, and the husband to an insanely patient and supportive "theatre widow." He is thrilled to return to a darker, serious drama after several years of comedies, as it highlights the diversity of talents the WHS Theater students bring to the community.
Katharina Bomers-Muller is grateful for Mr. B’s never-ending drive to push the boundaries of what you can achieve in a high school theatre production. She hopes this production will ignite conversations and foster acceptance and understanding. She would like to thank all the students, Boosters, and production team members for their hard work and dedication to the WHSTC. Thank you to the parents and community members who are here tonight to support the students and our WHS Theatre Company.
Stephanie Penoyer is grateful to have the opportunity to work on The Laramie Project. It has been a very emotional but rewarding experience. She is so very proud of the students and B. for being so dedicated and working so hard to tell Matthew's story. She hopes it inspires more people to embrace the quality and dignity that should be afforded to all people. Thank you to everyone who comes to the show and supports WHS Theatre.
Marsha is pleased to return to WHSTC for an 8th season where she attempts to wreak havoc and has a blast hanging out with the talented and dedicated cast and crew. She’d like to thank Josh Butchart for the opportunity to be part of a team that not only reaches the bar but also consistently leaps over it.
Karen Severson is thrilled to once again be a part of a great team supporting WHS theatre and this year’s thespians as they continue in the WHS tradition of producing outstanding theatre. This group is an inspiration and joy to work with as they support each other toward excellence. She is particularly grateful for the leadership, vision, and patience of Josh Butchart and for the support of our theatre Boosters.
Nathaniel Gibbs is excited to continue his sound design work with the theatre company in their production of Clue. Nathaniel is proud of the hard work the company has put in to make this production possible and hopes you enjoy the show.
