Whittier's Upcoming Modernization

Whittier Elementary School is in the planning stages of a modernization on our much loved school building in partnership with DCPS. The project will include a modular swing space campus to be built on the existing field immediately adjacent to Whittier. The modernized building will include all new playgrounds, parking and loading facilities. The fully modernized Whittier ES building will open its doors to students, staff and the Whittier community in Summer 2028, in time for School Year (SY) 2028-29.
