Aber der Verrechnungsscheck, den er daraus hervorzieht, hilft ihm nicht weiter. Auf der Flucht vor dem Gesetz taucht er bei Patricia, einer Zeitungsverkauferin, die Journalistin werden will, unter. Zwischen beiden entbrennt eine heftige Leidenschaft. Er versucht Geld fur die gemeinsame Flucht nach Italien zu beschaffen. Aber der Kreis der Polizei wird immer enger. Patricia wird verhort. Und sie muss sich entscheiden: Karriere oder Liebhaber?
