Miracle on 32nd Street holds a special place in our hearts here at White Pine Interiors because it was our very first project!
The client is a long-time friend of our head designer Haley. Since she already knew the house inside and out, and had many conversations with the owners about what they dreamed of doing with the place, this project very fun to work on. The family wanted a larger kitchen and dining room as well as a solution for the first floor bathroom. All to accommodate the family of five, with three fast growing children. Our first demo as WPI could not have turned out more beautifully. Check it out below!

We are so proud of how the kitchen turned out! Our clients spend a lot of time cooking, so the stainless steal tops fit their needs as well as their sleek personal style. Our favorite part about this counter top choice is that the sink and top are one piece! That's right, a seamless sink. Which means no place for gunk! Our focus in this room was to make it fit for a chef but to avoid the sterile feel of a prep kitchen. This is what inspired the wooden pulls, which really helped to warm up the design.
We have to give credit where credit is due. The contractor we worked with on this project was amazing! It was his idea to include the niche wall with pot/pan storage. But if your not hip on keeping storage this organized, the addition of a barn door to slide right over top could be your smart storage solution!

In the bathroom we stuck to our demo fundamentals, take the space you have but make it feel bigger and more open. Since this is the main bathroom for all 5 people in the house, space was super important! Check out how we accomplished this below!
Our client had some specific materials in mind for the new bathroom. These materials consisted of the foiled rose wallpaper and the grey and white chevron tile floor. We mixed gold and nickel fixtures to bring those two materials together. It ended up giving this space a unique and sleek look that we love!
We are so glad that you tuned into our blog this week to learn about what we are up to. We will continue to publish bi-weekly blogs about our projects and current interior design topics that we (and hopefully you too) find interesting. Feel free to email us if you have any input in what we write about next!
