How To: Use Living Coral

Every year, Pantone Color Institute releases its Color of the Year. This year, that color is living coral.

We know that coral, along with other bold colors, can be a daunting choice when it comes to designing your home. But when used correctly they can spice up even the most mundane of rooms. Most of you are not going to go out and paint all of yours walls coral(thank goodness) but even a small accent here and there can brighten up the simplest of rooms.

Why Living Coral?

Do you know why Pantone choose Living Coral as their COTY 2019? From what I have heard and read there were 2 reasons.

1) They wanted to shed light on global warming and our impact on the environment. The amount of coral reef we have left in our oceans is getting smaller year by year.

2) They thought we needed more of a bright, cheery color in the world. Due to our political indifference, scandals and other negative news that came to light in 2018, they thought we needed some cheering up!
