Summer Swim Team

Our summer swim team is a competitive team. We are one of nine teams in the Suburban Swim League of the Greater Lehigh Valley. 

Our summer session begins in early June with practices at the Whitehall High School Natatorium. Once the township pools are opened for the summer, we practice at the beautiful Parkview Pool (Hokey Pool) located at 3051 S. 5th St., Hokendauqua, Pa. 

Swim meets are typically held on Mondays and Thursdays. Meets start at 6 PM; however, swimmers need to be at home meets by 4:45 PM and away meets by 5:15 PM for warm-ups. The schedule for the 2026 season is posted on the schedule and directions page. HERE

If your family is not able to attend a meet or is going on vacation, no worries! You just need to let the head coach know as soon as you know. It takes the coaches quite a bit of time to place all of the swimmers into events. Having to re-do  their work due to not knowing about an absence hurts the whole team. 

Swimmers are required to swim at at least 2 practices a week to be eligible for participation in swim meets. Again, vacations are an understandable reason to miss the required practices before a meet. 

None of this would be possible without the help of our parent members. Swim meets cannot happen without parent volunteers. Please see the volunteer requirement page for information. 

2026 Summer Swim Team Sign Up Dates:  

Summer Season: May 26, 2026 to July 18, 2026

New Swimmers: Please use the link HERE to sign up for a swim evaluation on Monday, May 11th between 5:30-7:30 PM.

ONLINE Registration for returning swimmers: Open- please see email dated from 4/21/26 for registration info and link.

Cost: $180 for the first swimmer, $100 for the second swimmer, and $50 for each additional swimmer after the second one.

Team Suits:  There will be a suit kit for swimmers to try on sizes and order at the swim evaluations on Monday, May 11th from 5:30-7:30 PM.  The suits will be the same as previous years, a black speedo with the WAVES logo.  If not purchasing a team suit, a plain black racing suit is fine too.

Township REQUIRED: The township requires that all swimmers have a Whitehall Township Pool Pass. Individual student passes are $60 each. The township is allowing all Waves swimmers to purchase the student pass at the Whitehall resident rate. Families that normally purchase family pool passes do not have to purchase a separate student pass. Their family pass covers this requirement. The township will also be in attendance on Monday, May 11th from 5:30-7:30 PM selling pool passes. Or- check out hours at the Township Building to buy your pass HERE!

Refundable Volunteer Fee: There is a  refundable volunteer fee ($100). If you complete the required amount of volunteer times and snack stand contributions, you will be refunded the volunteer fee. If you do not complete the required volunteer times and do not contribute to the snack stand, we will keep the fee.
