Citizens Ward Committees are voluntary shadow ward committees formed by collaboration of public spirited citizens and officials of all civic agencies.  The Shadow Ward Committees provide citizen oversight over the functioning of the official BBMP Ward Committees, and ensure citizen participation and collaboration in Civic Governance.  

The Shadow Ward committee/s are voluntary and set up by public minded citizens.  We merely represent citizens' interest and public cause, and act as a bridge and support for wider participation in local governance by the public.  We promote Local Self Governance and constantly nudge the Govt towards strengthening grass root democracy as envisaged in the 74th Amendment of the Constitution 1992 (Nagar Palika Act).
