Grades and Courses
Here at Illumination we want to provide an experience that combines the best of public school and homeschool combined. For each grade level (K-3), we offer the following courses as part of our hybrid schedule:
Core Courses (2 hours / week)
Science
Social Studies
Electives (1x each / week)
Students will take 4 electives each semester

Our Curriculum for School Year 2025-2026
Science - Elemental Science (K-5)* May be subject to change but topics studied include:
Physics
Earth Science
Astronomy
Biology
Chemistry
Social Studies - Community (K), the United States and Geography (1), American History (2), Ancient History (3), Medieval History (4), American History and Geography, part 1 (5-6)
Possible Elective Offerings:
Art - ARTTANGO
P.E. - National Physical Education Standards
Music - Classroom Music Curriculum (basic music theory, music appreciation, instrument introductions, singing). Instruments include: Boomwhackers, Xylophones, and various percussion instruments
American Sign Language (ASL) - SignSchool/American Sign Language for Kids

Our goal at Illumination is to have full parental involvement and support. To this end, we at Illumination pledge to provide support to our parents and instructors as well as our students. Homeschooling is HARD, and we want to come together to help everyone achieve their goals.
For our instructors, we provide:
support on an as-needed basis
class materials and supplies
full open and go curriculum if available
