Climbing True Grit (5.8) on Vesper Peak | September 2023
Hi, my name is Denise! I'm an amateur alpine enthusiast with over six years of experience climbing and skiing throughout the Cascades and beyond. I've been deep-diving into mountaineering, rock climbing, and skiing over these last 6 years so I figured I should keep track of my adventures somewhere.
When I'm not playing in the mountains, I'm usually in my home office in Seattle working as a senior user experience designer in the tech industry. I've always considered myself a creative, whether it be with traditional materials like oil paints or knocking out an complex prototype in Figma. My ongoing goal is to find a unique way to capture the wonderful outdoors through art.
You can find my adventure resume, coursework, trip reports, and photos here.
My favorite achievements so far:
I hiked the John Muir Trail from Yosemite to Mt. Whitney in 15 days in 2021.
I've completed three half marathons (2016 - 2018)
I've summited all of Washington's five active volcanoes.
I skied Mt. Baker in a day (May 29th, 2023)!
I've summited over 69 peaks and counting...
Yellow markers are bucket list peaks.
Numbered markers are peaks I have climbed.
