The Street

Senior Infants focused on the “People of Mullagh”; those who work in the beautiful bright buildings that the children are familiar with now. Then the children focused on themselves as the future people who could and should continue to bring wonderful life to the streets of Mullagh.

Plenty of busy months were passed making shop fronts of existing businesses and excitedly designing some for the future. Angela took on the role of assistant architect and cut out very creative designs at the children’s request. Dipping our feet in paint and making footprint footpaths was messy work but very memorable. All this time, the children were busy designing and making lots of "wooden spoon" people which were used in dramas about the street of Mullagh.

Our dance artist Orla Keely helped us to marry the present and future through song , dance and drama. Our dance to “Everything is Awesome” brought the positive relationships from the present into the future. A drama by some of the children gave a glimpse into the Mullagh of the future when they would be all grown up.
